Raising our children according to our culture from childhood

01/

Respect

Children should be taught to pay respects to our Acharyas and elders. 

02/

Sandhyavandhanam, Shlokas and Songs

Make the boys do sandhi or at a minimum Gayatri mantra chanting daily as per varnasrama dharma after upanayanam (which is good for them as well as for lokakshema) and girls chant slokas and sing devotional songs.

03/

Festivals and Functions

Involve them in festival celebrations and functions so that they understand its significance, get to know the procedures.

04/

Truthfulness, Helping Nature, Hospitality, Tolerance

Inculcate basic good habits in them like Giving importance to others feelings, Gaining happiness by making others happy by means of helping, sharing wealth and knowledge without pride, hospitality, minimum tolerance, being truthful, etc... 

If we gradually inculcate these things in our children from childhood, then it will help shape their overall personality and these habits will staty for the lifetime.

05/

Awareness

First Parents have to ensure the following and then make their Children also

 

Be Aware of our own Guru Parampara and trust them since they  are our  well-wishers

 

Beware of New Gurus/Spiritual leaders who make us feel that they are better than our Gurus and Bhagavan too and whose philosophies contradict with our Sanatana Dharma.
